    month/day/year is such a s-----y format. It makes much more sense to do it in order day/month/year. And f--- inches and Fahrenheit. Water freezes at 0, boils at 100 and that's how it should be.

    Naah Fahrenheit is bs for a different (well not really different but it goes further than that) reason. The SI unit for Temp is kelvin. C is simply K-273.15. F however is further derived from C. In heat equations that only need net heat trasnfer, C works perfectly fine as C1-C2 is the same as K1-K2, This however doesn't work for F since the equation for CtoF* isn't distributive. Meaning for any scientific equation, F is useless even with a constant or coefficient value. You have to convert to C. The same applies to inches except to a lesser extent since with inches it's distributive so you can use a constant.


    TLDR: Fahrenheit is useless in science. but inches is a little better.

    The date format? We say (using today as an example) July 14th instead of the 14th of July, so we list the month number first--7/14/16.

    But for whatever reason, the 4th of July became the informal name of Independence Day.
