Nov 26, 2014 Yeah if people hate the album now, they're really gonna hate it in the future. I've noticed for most of Em's albums the most positive reviews on these boards usually happen right away. Recovery, MMLP2 even Relapse all had pretty good reviews overall at first on RB/SL and then people eventually hated them. Haven't listened to a second of the new album and I doubt I will, just don't have much if any interest in it especially after hearing that he's still constantly yelling.
Nov 26, 2014 I have no idea how koolo puts up with some of you. People who don't even appreciate flows
Nov 27, 2014 Yeah even if I like a few songs (and I predict their replay value as being virtually nonexistent), as an album, I couldn't justify giving this more than 3-4/10 at the absolute most.
Nov 28, 2014 Definitely just an attempt to alter the Metacritic score for clicks. He only talked about Eminem and brushed over everything else. Mentioned maybe 4 songs? And didn't even talk about the Lose Yourself demo.
Nov 28, 2014 EDIT: oh great now perry's conspiracy theory is that websites care about "altering the Metacritic score". this never would have happened under Bush.
Nov 28, 2014 Well publishing controversial reviews is a way to get viewership up so it's not far fetched bra
Nov 28, 2014 "Mathers' great talent—his 180-degree ear for how everything can be made to rhyme with everything else, how chains of these rhyming lines can be erected into dizzying towers—has officially devolved into a tic" Although I feel the review was overly negative, that line there hits the nail on the head. For a moment in 2009/2010 his flow was perfect (the Warning/Tim Westwood freestyles), and although I don't mind/dont hate his new flow, god knows why he made it his staple flow for songs.
Nov 28, 2014 "altering the metacritic score" And why is a review obligated to talk about the Lose Yourself demo? It's a f---ing demo, of a 12-year old song lol
Nov 28, 2014 Eminem makes up the B*** of the it (he's on 9 out of 12 of the songs) and it's his label album, so I don't think it's that ridiculous to focus the review on his contributions. Plus the Lose Yourself demo is a bonus track on the second disc.
Nov 28, 2014 yeah but literally no one at any publication cares about the metacritic score, lol. believe it or not, vendettas against artists are very rare. the worst thing you're going to see is a refusal to cover someone, which is clearly not the case here.
