Dec 17, 2015 I wish marshall would read a review like this. It summarizes the concern of eminem fans all over.
Dec 17, 2015 I know it's supposed to be, but what exactly does it mean. Can you explain each album represented there what it means?
Dec 17, 2015 lol Last time I tried to pull off a dramatic stunt as drastic I f---ing crashed my hovercraft (Encore) After I strapped the duffel bag to my back (The Slim Shady EP) and stuck the massive punching bag in it (The Slim Shady LP) An elastic bungee strap, proper plaster, a thumb tack and a piece of plastic bubble wrap (The Marshall Mathers LP) Went spastic (The Eminem Show) and f---ing snapped (8 Mile) jumped (Curtain Call) and splashed in a puddle of battery acid (The Re-Up) Stumbled (Relapse) back (Refill) recovered (Recovery) back (h---: The Sequel) flipped (Shady XV) landed on a gymnastic tumble mat (Southpaw)
Dec 17, 2015 has it ever occurred to you that maybe instead of being obsessed with eminem I'm genuinely appreciating rhyming and metaphor, the things this world is built from, and that he's just trying harder than anyone else to do those things justice
Dec 17, 2015 Umm even if that's true, his old style of rapping still had that lyricism in it but it actually sounded good. Doing he world a justice doesn't do his career justice
Dec 17, 2015 when iovine gets apple and dre gets interscope who do you think is gonna get aftermath? em's career isn't in any trouble. besides no one is arguing his rhyming has suffered, it's better than ever. he allegedly had to relearn to talk and move so of course he sounds different
Dec 17, 2015 He probably has a fanatic waiting upstairs in the attic with an automatic callin' him up there (Jayson!) The dude sounds incredibly bitter, but he's right for the most part. However, personally, Eminem's always had an ability to twist words to make them rhyme. As far as the technical aspect of the art, not many are f---ing with him. But seriously, I don't know what's left for him to talk about.. But that dude sounds like he waited in the blistering cold for four hours and he just said no tbh.
Dec 17, 2015 The production functions simply, like a stopwatch: It's there to tell him when to start and when to stop, and occasionally a juiced-up power-rock chorus interrupts him. Submitting production to an Eminem album must feel, for a producer, something like a novelist feeding their manuscript into a wood chipper. On the one hand, you are guaranteed unprecedented exposure, and on the other, you are all but ensuring that no one will notice a note of your work. LOL
