Jun 25, 2022 This. And part of this is the mixing. He doesn't have the delay/reverb that he used to. And a lot of distortion is added to his voice to make it sound modern but it doesn't sound good. It seems like, after MMLP2, he stopped going to professional studios and instead records his vocals by himself in his home studio and mixes it himself.
Jun 25, 2022 yeah the voice is a big problem that he had under control with Kamikaze and at least half of Side a. I don't like that deep talking voice. It doesn't have the Eminem touch that ppl recognize him with. Its the same voice when he talks in interviews. Man a song like Those Kind of Nights s-----y beat, s-----y hook but his voice is like classic Em. Here with the Snoop song it works in a certain way since its a chill song about weed, same goes for Killer since its a club chill song but for most of his s--- it ruins it. Almost all of SIDE B got ruined by that monton deep voice. It sounds boring/old monoton and is also a nice trigger for haters to hate on him being old and washed up. OFC he isn't cause he still can do that classic voice.

Jun 26, 2022 yeah hook should've been 2x. But I have a felling they shortend it by purpose because its NFT and songs are usually 2-3min these days. God, think about Side a having many 3min songs while Side B had longer songs since it was for the true fans.
