Oct 5, 2021 As much as I want a new Em album, conway dropping an alchemist produced single this week off his shady album means no Em album......also I've seen people say shady records is dead and everyone from there has flopped, and I gotta say this. Em himself says Shady is a Boutique label, but if you really think that boogie, grip, and griselda are flops and have done nothing, then you're truly a closed minded white boy who sees hip hop thru Eminem and you rate success with the past stats and heights of shady records. Griselda (who had a cult fan base and were millionaires before shady records) have directly impacted the genre and are a pretty big f---ing deal lol. They're the ones that have everybody trying to rap over 2 bar samples with no drums and everybody fails at it but them imo. They also revived the classic New York sound with their beat selection and delivery, New York had been trying to sound like atlanta for years before griselda stuck to their guns. Boogie has a die hard fan base and he's also the one who keeps adding and changing things to his album, not Em holding it back, and Grip? If you dont think he's something special idk what to tell you. People seem to be under the impression if you're not getting Em's attention or doing what 50 and obie did on Shady then you're nothing. Idk if you only get your hip hop news from Twitter and here, but griselda, boogie, and Grip all have dedicated fan bases.Hip Hop shows, media personalities and magazines praise all of them and they're making solid music. Idk what some people's measuring stick of success is in hip hop but if you think griselda (while they only had a distribution deal with shady) boogie and Grip are failures you need to adjust how you rate success.
