Jul 3, 2024 Yes I agree! But rhymes connected to content without a nice melody, a nice voice and the right attitude and the right pronunciation for each word, is like reading poetry on a beat. That's Royce's main flaw most of the times, not always but certainly more often than not. Whilst Em's used to be the complete opposite. Lyrics and content might not always be incredible or even good enough, but he'd always k--- it with flow, cadences, melodies. This is just my opinion of course. I'm trying to justify why I wouldn't want Royce on this album at all.
Jul 3, 2024 "What the f--- do you mean, that I ain't in shape? Go bag Nelly I go and get me a fat b----, we gon' slap bellies I keep a box of rubbers, c---, I got ya covered That's right, I talk to my c--- often like, "c---, they love ya" Ha-ha, I walk the block with a oven but not your mother's I'm talking 'bout the other, by the way, your mother I'm terrific, I'm the president, I'm Obama-rific Make up my own words, I'm the s----ic" Conscious as f---.
Jul 3, 2024 Alright so using the same measuring stick, Eminem is a conscious rapper because he wrote Untouchable, then. lmao
Jul 3, 2024 this is the main s---, it sounded so effortless before that if you weren't paying attention you probably couldn't tell
Jul 3, 2024 I don’t care for Big Sean much these days but that “they movin the keys like a chord progression” line was nice
Jul 3, 2024 IMO just neither of them can be considered as one type. Talib Kweli is a better example of a conscious rapper since it's really the majority of his content.
Jul 3, 2024 I do agree, but I’m also happy with either, I think modern Em is perfectly capable of the emcee part, I’m not so sure about the musicality part, but right now the problems I have with him is it seems like he’s trying to blend both but satisfying neither (for me personally). I want him to focus on 1 lane & put all his energy into it. Whereas Royce has always been a technical emcee, he’s never really made “music” — just good raps, so I’ll always be looking for that from him.
Jul 3, 2024 @jankland s----d Detroit 2's d-ck in my presence a couple of months ago so I tried sucking its d-ck too and it was pretty good, much better than anticipated
Jul 3, 2024 Yeah that was a decent album. It has nothing to do with the music quality, I’ve just kinda lost interest in Big Sean over the years lol
Jul 3, 2024 Fax. Cocaine is one of the Royce songs I remember the most even though I don’t listen to him much anymore
Jul 3, 2024 I'm so glad someone got cocaine out of Em's vault so we could get high on it while he stayed sober
