Jul 9, 2024 You picked a great Tiger game to go.. Dodgers got some stars in that lineup.. It’d be incredible if Eminem threw out the 1st pitch.. Idk if he’s a baseball guy or not.. I know he loves the Lions and Spartans..
Jul 9, 2024 How many times have you fellow Stans watched the Tobey video? I have watched at least 39 times in the past 3 hours
Jul 9, 2024 This guys in a full on identity crisis he has no idea what he wants. Expect the album to be allover the place like since recovery with no relation to the doss. I went on his youtube and he made a f---ing song called higher, wtf is that then next song is from the D to LBC forced snoop dogg collab. I’m out f--- it.
Jul 9, 2024 Just finally got the chance to watch the "Tobey" video. I'm freakin out, mannnnnn!!!! cheahcheahchehahcehahcheahhcheahchehacheah!!!!!
Jul 9, 2024 that belt had spikes on it though with the same poison on the spikes he used on you when he told you to die and eat him like poison!!
Jul 9, 2024 That's what I'm sayin, he was never a guy who did an album full of Darkness kinda songs. I'm not sure if it'd work anyway. If you call TES a classic you can't expect him to make an album full of Darkness kinda songs to call his album a classic. He had a formula. He was talking about anything on MMLP or TES and he would call the album something so large so it looked like a concept to some people. MMLP had songs about anything, it's not like he was just Marshall Mathers on that album, we also had Slim Shady songs, same with TES, he called it Eminem Show which could easily would go with any song he'd make. I guess we can end this discussion now, nothing new to say. But the thing is, he will make songs like Darkness from time to time but he can't make whole album of Darkness kinda songs. I'm not even sure if there is a rap album like that. Even if there is, it's not who Em is. So i have no idea where those expectations are coming from. Btw, Darkness is not completely about something else too, it's also about him in a way...
Jul 9, 2024 Lol whut? The theme of MMLP was counter-culture, rebellion, fighting back. Look at the covers: Eminem sitting on the steps of his old home despite being a rapstar. Then you have the one where he’s hounded in a corner. The songs each exemplified that. The Real Slim Shady makes a point on how distinguishable Eminem is, which is why his rebellion on The Way I Am is important. This is a one of a kind artist, who truly writes as he feels. Stan and Kim are some of the biggest anti-consumer songs ever, one about a deranged fan who murders himself and his pregnant girlfriend, and one about Eminem killing his ex. TES is just stardom, and Eminem succumbing to it. Funny enough, Darkness *does* have relation to the title of the album…Music to Be Murdered By. It’s literally referencing an event where people were killed during a music concert.
Jul 9, 2024 Actually he is serving the concept right. Yall are just dumb and don’t know the basics of what an actual concept is. Higher lyrics literally reflect tobey’s verse. He is pushing his limits higher until he has no ceilings. And from the D to the LBC has the same exact themes as Tobey. Putting on for your city and reiterating his legacy. How can you not put 2 and 2 together?
Jul 9, 2024 People on here really don’t know Rap. Cuz how you complaining about a rapper rapping about himself? Like what? Lmfao. that’s the point.
Jul 9, 2024 I can only imagine the Tobey video being good if you are tripped out, so now we know those who like it is drugged out their mind
Jul 9, 2024 You know what it reminds me of, the 'You Don't Know' video. That kind of effect where it's so fake that it's a bit wacky and cartoony, which I like. But at a few times it's so fake that you go, 'eh, wish they'd have just got them in a room and put a camera on them instead'.
Jul 9, 2024 The You Don't Know video does have a similar look but at the same time it looks way better, the way the lights in the background flash with the beat, it's definitely green screened as all h--- but it's not the weird computer digital stuff Cole did for the Tobey video. Eminem - You Don't Know (Official Music Video) ft. 50 Cent, Cashis, Lloyd Banks (youtube.com)
Jul 9, 2024 MTBMB has a theme as much as MMLP or TES has one. That's it. Having a theme or concept for the album doesn't mean you can't rap about something else. In a way, he was murdering the beats all over in music to be murdered by. If you haven't been murdered yet, better luck next time...
Jul 9, 2024 I absolutely know rap. It's basically all I've listened to lol, for fkn... 25 years. Thank you very much. but Em is OTT self-obsessed. But also the argument of 'well everybody does it', is a s--- one. So what? Be better.
