Jul 9, 2024 I actually agree re: we're so close now, might as well keep anything else a surprise. Remember Paul did say this would be a "hybrid" rollout between surprise and conventional, so it would make sense at this point that we're not getting anything more album-specific before drop. With that said, I would love for them to actually put some time and effort into HYPING the d--- thing before Thursday night. More Murder Files videos, more reminders that it's dropping, tease some physicals. Stuff like that. Make people aware its actually dropping.
Jul 9, 2024 His have always been loose concept albums. You don't need to be on one topic or story for something to be a concept album, but there needs to be an over riding theme, although I think stray tracks can sometimes move how concept it is. So, for instance, I see SSLP, ES and Relapse as concept, but it'll always be a bit loose cos Rock Bottom, Drips and Beautiful always take me out when I hear them. Recovery is debatable, I can see it, but I think 'look I can still rap and have a hit' over powered the recovery stuff - which was understandable at that point in his career. MMLP had a general don't give a f--- feeling, but I wouldn't say a concept. I wouldn't count any after Recovery. I like bits, but MMLP2 was a cash grab, Revival was a mess, Kamikaze was entertaining but all over the place concept wise, MTBMB A and B had the lovely art work and skits that threatened a concept album, but in reality it was mixtape levels of chucking songs in for the fun of it.

Jul 9, 2024 not tryin to be a d-ck but you do pay attention to other big name artists in hip hop? the majority don't show the full track list/features till week of release. usually that weds or thurs. its not a big deal at all. he will show the track list. it's not because of revival. its just how a normal roll out works in todays climate
