Jul 10, 2024 If he passed right now he'd be top 3, multiple classics, won one of the biggest rap beefs ever handedly, incredible production, immaculate flows, one of the best conceptual writers in mainstream music, I could go on
Jul 10, 2024 Was surprised Biggie wasn’t in the top 5 but his body of work is somewhat limited so that must be their reasoning. Might change tomorrow but gun to head in this moment: 1) 2Pac 2) Biggie 3) JayZ 4) Eminem 5) Kendrick 6) Kanye 7) Lil Wayne 8) Nas (If we just talking technical skills he would be much higher) And I’m in a lot of pain right now after making this list.
Jul 10, 2024 man i forgot about conway, i was so big into griselda in HS that joint with alchemist, Lulu, still one of my favs; No One Mourns the Wicked, Burden of Proof, HWH8, man they were f---ing popping off man
Jul 10, 2024 Man if this album sucks I'm gonna have to get my Eminem chest tattoo lasered off. I can't take any more L's from this white prick.
Jul 10, 2024 Will say, Biggie has been in my 5 from time to time, but I listen to Andre 3000 and Big L more. Also, Nas is technically a top 5 rapper, but for preference, I've never listened to him as much as the rest. Illmatic is on my wall though, so I've always given props from a distance. He's had a great revival recently, one we'd all like to see from Em as well.
Jul 10, 2024 I try to be mostly but some people that rain on others peoples parades need to get handled
Jul 10, 2024 That's why I chose interviews though. Because you can record vocals throughout different days and only use the takes that sounds the best. And yes I believe it is possible to take age out of the equation. If you take an Eminem interview from 2001 and one from 2020 you will hear the difference but his voice doesn't sound powerless now. But maybe it's just me that's hearing 50's voice sounding like he's much much older than what he really is. Powerless like I said.
