Jul 12, 2024 I like Recovery, but it’s not better than this. His voice alone and flow are better on this new album. He screams and at times has awful flow on recovery. I believe anyone who ranks that album with his best were kids in 2010 when it came out
Jul 12, 2024 Do people even notice how he constantly bounces between all his voices and flows? The concept isn't just Slim vs. Marshall. It's current-day Marshall fighting ALL of his old styles: SSLP voice/flow, Encore voice/flow, TES voice/flow, etc. They all keep popping in and out like some with a split personality disorder, and he can't help it. All he really wants to do is make heartfelt songs for his daughters, but the various versions of Slim Shady won't let him. It all plays out like a comic book story, where the anti-hero can't keep his demons/dark side from taking over, which is symbolic of his entire career.
Jul 12, 2024 Temporary/Somebody Save Me ties the album up beautifully, showing the effects that the Slim Shady alter ego had on his ability to raise his daughters and how it almost killed him (literally). While Marshall may have survived, Slim Shady really did die in 2007 when Marshall overdosed, and because of that, Marshall was able to become a much better father and raise his daughters very successfully (referencing them graduating college with honors earlier).

Jul 12, 2024 Idk. @M Solo usually likes his harder hitting music with some sort of message, or motivational s---, so I can see why he doesn’t prefer TDOSS. but I will never listen to Revival again outside of that interlude in there.
