Jul 12, 2024 MTBMB Side A was the most played album since the comeback for me. It's the one that I listen to 4 years later regularly. Can't say that about any of them post 2004. The sound he had on Side A was so fresh .... so different. This feels like Side A again with better beats, taking the skits/theme further so it's more cohesive. I only listened twice so I can't say this will have more replay value than Side A. The nostalgia is there , the last 4 songs are good -- just not great. If getting a shittier Arose and Castle are the biggest flaws? Then I think we all won. No yelling, start stop, horrible cringe punchlines, horrible beats/mixing (debatable), not a ton of rappity rap, NO LOVE SONGS (about generic lovers all stemming from his one real relationship that he last had in 2006) 1.
