Jul 13, 2024 I finally understand the concept completely. In Guilty Conscience 2, his two characters (Eminem and Slim Shady) are speaking to his conscious. Once he wakes you hear in the background "Shady's rock-a-bye baby" from When I'm Gone the last time he killed Slim Shady. From this point, Shady takes over his conscious and everything from track 12-1 is a dream as if Shady had never died. Completely at the end of 'Renaissance' you hear him waking up again, and its like Eminem is reborn again fully laying Shady to rest for a final time.
Jul 13, 2024 I've completely changed my mind on this album. Just re-listened in full with a friend who used to love Em as a kid, but doesnt care for Eminem today, and alls I can say is it hit us. It hit us hard. This may be a potential masterpiece. Thread coming soon.

My song ratings below: Renaissance - 9.5/10 Habits - 10/10 Trouble - 9/10 Brand New Dance - 8.5/10 Evil - 8/10 Lucifer - 10/10 Antichrist - 8.5/10 Fuel - 10/10 Road Rage - 6.5/10 Houdini - 10/10 Guilty Conscience 2 - 10/10 Head Honcho - 7.5/10 Temporary - 10/10 Bad One - 7/10 Tobey - 7.5/10 Somebody Save Me - 9/10 Score - 8.9/10 We'll see if it stands the test of time but for me just now, this is a very very strong album and his best since Relapse!
