Jul 14, 2024 thought we were talking about beats this was never supposed to be Recovery, if you tuned in for "good music" as you mean it that's on you tbh. it's called The Death of Slim Shady. it's talkative and conceptual. not comparing in terms of quality (I repeat, I am NOT comparing in terms of quality or greatness or execution) but it's more like MMLP if you took all the personal tracks and Stan off the album. k--- You, I'm Back, Criminal, Who Knew, Amytiville, Remember Me... it's all talkative and slim shady saying his s---. did it sound better? was it better executed? definitely. was it """good music""" intended for the general audience? f--- NO. same goes for SSLP and I have countless posts in which I say it's my all time favorite album. it sounds good enough for me to have this entire album (minus those 3 tracks I keep bashing) on repeat. music is good to me if I like it and it makes me replay it many times. waiting for the r-word people and the people who hate beaver to say "did you really bring up mmlp and sslp to defend this album????"

Jul 14, 2024 because those songs were after GC2 where the first part of the concept ends imo. that's the part of the album I'm talking about, especially since a lot of people think anything after is just filler. 2nd part starts after Shady's death with the more personal Head Honcho verse (at least half of it), Temporary, goes to s--- with Bad One and Tobey, ends with Somebody Save Me.
