Jul 16, 2024 I work wirh a couple of artists and my Experience of album making is that songs usually gets 85% Done. They nail the production, the flow, and record a sample of each song and then the lyrics changes a lot during the process, even the instruments in the beats. the recording + mixning/mastermind is the easiest part and goes rather fast. which means, it’s not hard to add in a new verse, new lines etc even a month before release(depending om how much of the process they own) Especially if the physical version not getting released at the same day. One great example is Kendricks pre-recorded disses at Drake but where he easily added a couple of lines and verses here and there adressing what Drake had said
