Jul 18, 2024 well, doing it your way then it wouldnt have worked in reverse or the infinite loop theory and like it or not, Em just created a piece of art I’have read 8 different theories on it depending on which order you listen to it and That’s way better then your suggestion and That’s why he’s the goat. Also, the more I listen the more I f--- with Ez Mills verse, the filipino verse goes hard, head honcho is a b-----r. road rage is nice, very good song but not worth it in the album, should have been side B, and I bet Em knew it however it was such a crucial song to have for it to work in both regular and reverse order, with him dying his hair, and I guess he just went too deep to make a new song with the concept to chance it so he just went with it.
Jul 18, 2024 Might still come. But yeah their timing kinda sucks. That shoulda been the 2nd song & vid I think. I think 'Houdini' vid > album 1 week later + GC/Vid with that woulda been huge.
Jul 18, 2024 Somebody Save Me is a good choice for a third single imo. Recycled content or not, it's a very good song. We've been needing a heartfelt Em track since Stepping Stone. That's a long a--- time.
Jul 18, 2024 I’ve got my gripes with it but I honestly love it too early but my early thoughts say this is the fourth after the first 3 in his discography. solid production, flow is great for the most part, the mixing is actually pretty great. My only issue is the repetitive lil people bars and Caitlyn Jenner. And some track placements. And the first verse of head honcho shouldn’t be there. But Eminem’s verse on that song is easily one of my favourites from in a longgggg time. Easily fits on yellow brick road but aside from that, it’s more than I thought we’d ever get from Eminem again. And it’s absolutely abysmal to go back and listen to something like… psychopath killer or right for me.. anything from that era, after listening to DOSS Tl;dr beyond satisfied
Jul 18, 2024 how we feel about slim shouting out @Ripper Roo and dissing @Omar Little people multiple times?
Jul 18, 2024 no worries, the way the song is made, with the sound effects of Em being dropped in houdinis water torture cell, the ”had it up to here” line etc, it’s begging for a visual. but first somebody save me, with some clues I think when GC2 video drops, there will be no more mystery. People will get a ”oooh s---” moment because It will explain the concept clearly and probably make it clear with clues that you can listen to it in reverse or regular order etc. Or whatever he has done. But he wants people to continue theorizing. Before the drops it
Jul 18, 2024 1- A bit. But it's ok... 2-The beat is great. Delivery and flow are great. I love when he goes slow and more melodic. Hook is really not that good wish he had his own tho. 3- It's just a little part, who f---in' cares. You are a Sean Paul fan lmao, I don't even understand half of the s--- he says but it's great regardless. 4- Don't really know, since it's kinda obvious which one is talkin' most of the times but whatever. 5-Dope song. Love the hook too. 6-At first kinda felt the same but who cares. I don't have to listen to it, I can press stop and end the album after 13th song. It's up to me. I'm kinda happy there are more songs. Even the slow ones are great and on second thought it's not like they ruin the concept or anything, they kinda fit in some senses.
Jul 18, 2024 I think Evil still my favorite. Fuel is cool also. Still not a fan of BND, Road Rage, Bad One and Tobey
Jul 18, 2024 My critique wasn't related to the pace of the verse. I love slow/melodic flows too. I just don't like that particular flow.
