Jul 20, 2024 Didnt you see the email from the intern at inteescope that he got? That praised his mixes for groundbreaking and that they wanted to sign him to work with Em?
Jul 20, 2024 I don't think either of these thoughts are that crazy tbh. I think it's as good as anything from any rap artist in a bit.it definitely takes risks where many other rappers don't anymore.
Jul 20, 2024 How loose are we using the term classic? Like I feel more time is needed to even consider that word and a bigger societal/ culture impact need to happen
Jul 20, 2024 I think this album is top tier, but agree with this. Classic albums stand the test of time. I think this could be in that convo but needs time.
Jul 20, 2024 What are the risks he took on this project? even the concept ain't original, T.I. vs T.I.P. and Bis vs. Rip already existed and Shady's been around for over 25 years plus it's a flanderized watered down version of the character at that Like I said, I love the album but it's being overrated as h--- already and it ain't even 2 weeks old, I've seen this happen before, give it 6 months and it'll be appreciated of course but nowhere near his top 3
Jul 20, 2024 Apparently Gambino dissed Drake a couple of times in one of his new song, if people catch on it might get traffic

Jul 20, 2024 This 3 album run (4 if you want to count Side B separately) is GOATED, I don't care what anyone says. You can play Kamikaze - MTBMB - TDOSS, skipping very few tracks and enjoying the music a lot. Without Skits/Interludes: Kamikaze = 11 Tracks MTBMB Side A = 17 Tracks MTBMB Side B = 13 Tracks TDOSS = 16 Tracks 57 Tracks in Total I'm probably only skipping 8 of them, depending on the day though. I might not be feeling like listening to other tracks if I'm not in a certain mood, but on average I'd say I can always listen to those 49 remaining songs without much hesitation. 49 out of 57 is pretty f---ing good.
Jul 20, 2024 Eminem said it best: They keep on sayin' the same rappers are the best: Jay-Z and Kanye West, maybe they're just tryna distract you From the fact that I'm comin' back Or maybe it's 'cause I ain't black, maybe it's because of that Maybe it's 'cause I'm the highest sellin' artist in rap While I'm sittin' back in my office jackin' off to my plaques I'm still sick, how can I be sick this long and I'm still alive? Magic Johnson of rhymes I thrive on makin' my opponents think that I've died That's when I just pop up outta nowhere
Jul 20, 2024 Not bored enough, you say I repeat myself. I already posted it the three songs I consider weak.
Jul 20, 2024 Better hooks and even better beats. To me side B is the best Em sounding album since Relapse. But TDOSS would be the second best.
Jul 20, 2024 The turn around after Revival deserves credit. He made good changes: production, features, delivery. All massively improved. DoSS is a new high bar in presentation too. It feels like an Eminem album in ways that his albums haven't for a while. It sounds great and he sounds great too. I laughed a few stupid lines, he got me several times. I don't think this is a classic, but it is probably a comfortable 4th in the discog. As fun as this project is, I can't help but notice that Slim Shady returns like a demonic possession and... does basically nothing. Shady is back for several tracks and every time he's going to say he's bad, say people want to censor him, and mention Caitlin Jenner. It's a concept album with very little narrative and a lot of wasted potential. That said, it kind of echoes Em himself. His story basically ended after sobriety, and his addiction and recovery have been a recurring topic since. The content on this song veers from his usual shock-rap into proper old man rants. A full verse moaning about over-eaters. A full verse about not wanting to have sex with trans women. And both verses ultimately about feeling persecuted for thinking that way. It's a real low point.
