Jul 22, 2024 Ngl but pretty bored of the album already and was even just 3 days into it. I don't know why. The rapping is dense, the songs are good... probably just because after I got past the 'whoah' of the new rapping... it's stuff I've heard a billion times and, I dunno, I don't know how much lasting power this one will have. Maybe it's just bc it's Em and 12th album, like, if this was his 2nd or something, may be very different. But I can only see myself revisiting this like once a week, fortnight even for the coming months and then fizzling out. Some great songs and great cohesion, ends badly but no really bad songs and nothing which ruins the album just, wish it could have ended in better order, the sequencing of the last 5 tracks makes no sense.

Jul 22, 2024 Yeah Em is late for sure. This may have did something in 2021 when he started on it but... feels like the cancel culture s--- is passing us by. But, don't really care, just mattered that the music was good. Which it is. Some of his best rapping since... TES. Even MMLP. This actually feels like it could have been the next style from MMLP, it's got some Devils Night era tonality n sharpness to it too. Em def thought this was gonna get like a MMLP-like reaction though lol. He probably thought the mere mention of trans n s---.
