Jul 30, 2024 Him ending each video with the name of the song in that nerdy a--- voice killed me. but those were awesome, thanks for sharing
Jul 30, 2024 Seems like a combination of business, getting sober and wanting to work with other producers. He started working less with Jeff Bass in 2003-04, as opposed to previous years (Jeff wasn't featured on Encore at all), when he got his own studio and my guess is Em probably just thought "what do I need to keep paying these guys for, I can produce myself now" and cut his team down to just Himself, Luis Resto and Steve King. They still worked occasionally together in 05-07, but when Em got sober we know he couldnt be bothered producing and stuff so went to Dre for all his beats and then on Recovery used a bunch of outside producers so it it seems the relationship just eventually broke down. And that's without even mentioning the legal stuff that had started going on throughout that time which obviously didn't help relations, especially with Paul. I am surprised they've never worked together again though. I can only assume being in the studio and around them again may trigger some sort of anxiety in Em because it brings him back to his addiction days and he feels he wouldnt truly be focused. But who knows. If it ever does happen at this point it's way overdue anyway.
Jul 30, 2024 Other than Brand New Dance and Hailie’s Song where does that soft spoken singing voice appear?
Jul 30, 2024 The funny thing is that it was Jeff Bass that brought Luis Resto on board and he had known him for years. Also the Bass Brothers signed Eminem to a deal with their FBT Productions / Web Entertainment label so even if they didn't work together they still made money off of Eminem. Jeff Bass wasn't around for Encore due to a family emergency bit worked again with him afterwards. Jeff has said the reason they no longer work together Is financial but Eminem told him with Relapse he has to work with new people. Jeff says after Encore they recorded around 50 songs, some fully complete just like Beautiful and some with partial lyrics just a verse or a hook. That's not touching the stuff from previous albums. Hopefully some of it sees the light of day soon. The original Infinite and Slim Shady EP albums will never be officially reissued or be made available on streaming as the both contain multiple samples that were never cleared. These would either need to be cleared and no doubt cost a lot of money or the samples removed entirely and similar sounds and melodies replacing them. When you look at what the Bass family has done with FBT studios it really is amazing. I'm sure I read they won some kind of award in Detroit for their studios. If you see pics online it's so modern. It seems like a bright clean professional place with rehearsal rooms and it's not what you imagine it to be.
Jul 30, 2024 does anybody know where in the way i am book I can find the antichrist hook lyrics? The page and the additional lyrics?
Jul 30, 2024 Don't know, it's weird. I would speculate (but, just a guess based on the album structure) it's because... 'Shady's awakening within Em' in that early part so, he still maybe sounds like Em, I dunno that doesn't even make sense bc then they're separate on GC2 fully, after just 'merging' in Houdini vid... I think Em wasn't as tight or thought-out with it all as he acts.
Jul 30, 2024 Yeah that's some political s--- done right. He still sounded smart or like he knew more about stuff in life than he did back then lol. Since exposed himself as being quite naive and pandering... But, political s--- from... well I should say from 99-06 really, because people think it's only 'political' if it's explicitly so like 'Mosh', but so much of SSLP & MMLP especially are highly political; talking about society, hypocrisy of government, special interest groups, parenting etc. it's all politics. But like, even the explicitly political s--- he started doing with TES-Re-Up (White America, Square Dance, Mosh, We As Americans, Public Enemy #1), all smart and like, not subtle, but more informed-sounding in their commentary, less cringe or simplistic than now. Public Enemy no.1 a b-----r too.
