He'd found himself on MTBMB and I believe it is the sound he likes now, judging by tracks like Bad One or Like My s---. Of course, this style is gonna evolve a bit too. On TDOSS, he mimicked his older flows because he needed them for the concept.
Aug 8, 2024 Yeah, but he wants to have those Greatest Hits shows and he has trouble fitting new tracks in his setlists that are already massive. He doesn't like adding too many new tracks, as then he has to resign from some old hits that people know and love. I don't like this style of concerts too much but it is what it is.

Except there are some exceptionally clean and old-school satisfying flows on TDoSS, Antichrist mainly, when he comes in like 'f--- IT SOMEBODY NEEDS TO COME N HIT THE RESET BUTTON, BACK TO 2003 CAUSE HOW DID WE GET STUCK IN' >>> that is pure MMLP, Criminal style flow. I think the reason that and a lot (for me) feels so MMLP too, and what's been missing or why s--- hasn't (not that he's been tryna replicate the STYLE anyway) is because - it's more conversational. As opposed to strangely structured lined-up multies... there are multies still but the sentence flows more like a conversation, prolly bc he's actually tryna talk about s--- again here.

I genuinely think thas how he got to the idea; I know he's thought of 'killing slim shady' before and talkked about it, but he's been obsessed with 'killing the audience' and 'then himself' for years - that's what 'Encore' (gun behind his back, one shot 2 shot etc.) is. So I think Side A n B he looked at as 'killing the audience / beats / rappers / other people', then naturally he thought of 'killing himself' or.. 'Shady', and thought of this as the natural progression. Bc we know he thinks about his next album based on his previous, too. Aug 8, 2024 I'm glad it wasn't on TDoSs. Like a lot of Em collabs lately... it's not even really Em's track. Doesn't sound like a Em beat (even though I like it), not his hook... 2 mins of 2Chainz. It's just an Em verse. He has way less command over the whole picture now, even if he does produce n s--- still... he used to make his songs feel HIS, now he's like a guest on his own s--- half the time. Some of the content of the verse is good though, for the album. It coulda fit, but, still.
