Aug 11, 2024 Me included, but we are Stans. Still don’t think his verse or him are anything special tho. Every time I listen I’m just waiting for Em’s verse. Now I know how people felt when they listened to Unaccomodating.
Aug 11, 2024 It’s cause it’s a weird choice for an album, all the Slim. And Em back and forth, the features, hooks by small artists, and the same references over and over again. I like it tho, but Stans were quick putting it on top of their lists and giving it 9s and 10s. In a few years no one will go back to it like that. Yet Kamikaze will still be remembered
Aug 11, 2024 I’m very curious about where do we go from here, will the next one more mature now that Slim is “dead”?
Aug 11, 2024 I really think he improved his flow on this his voice is not as grating to listen to, but the repetitive themes get boring. hope he goes for hits/bangers next album and uses the old flow on 90% of the album unlike just sprinkes here and there like here
Aug 11, 2024 (Yeah, Uncommodating is a song ruined by one of Em's stupid irrational decisions. Second track on the album and starting with a mediocre guest verse). Alright Fuel may not be a massive hit but nobody besides Stans ever cared for BME tracks either.
Aug 11, 2024 he fixed his voice/flow on most of the album. Mic quality also. Now he needs better beats (Dre) and better hooks, topics and features for the next one, but if Dre didn’t do s--- here, he will never do.
Aug 11, 2024 BME had a tour and successful singles, ese. It’s very different. This guy is just another corny Cordae. Except Cordae killed Killer remix no pun intended.
Aug 11, 2024 Kamikaze ages worse and worse for me as time goes on. That album was at its best the first few months it came out. It’s been downhill ever since then. They would’ve been better off labeling it as a mixtape, kinda like how they labeled Side B as a deluxe. As an album it’s not great.
Aug 11, 2024 Disagree, one of his best. People don’t care about the beefs anymore, but the project still dope except for like 2 songs. Way more replay value than TDOSS imo, same with Side B, another better project than TDOSS.
Aug 11, 2024 TDOSS is like side A for me, I have to really say “I’m gonna bump the album today” and stick to it or I just won’t and even when I do, I end up playing another Em album half way in.
Aug 11, 2024 All of Eminem’s albums after Revival have the exact same replay value to me really. I listen to it a bunch the first week or so and then barely listen to it afterwards.
Aug 11, 2024 I don’t go that far, I like Kamikaze and Side B. And I don’t consider Side A, TDOSS or MMLP2 bad, I just go back to them less but they are all ok projects. Revival is his only disgrace imo. Even Encore bangs for most of the album, I probably skip 2 tracks. And the deluxe adds more fire to it.
Aug 11, 2024 It's because of the trap production. Really. Trap beats all sound too alike, barely having any melodies that you wanna go back to. Doss had some of those songs that you might wanna go back and relisten Like Lucifer. Em and Luis resto is a great combo for making beats, the beats sound simple but actually much more going on at the back, it doesn't happen much with kamikaze songs and trap beats usually. Think of lose yourself instrumental, it's so simple but yet there is a very catchy melody, I barely here any melodies like that on trap beats. They are so basic and repetitive, easy to get into quickly and also get bored of quickly too. Plus, nothing much to turn back to few years later neither, they don't age that well except you can something special with the hooks or flows in the verses...
Aug 11, 2024 I think DoSS is a good album, I gave it an 8/10. I’d be lying to you if I said I ever get the desire to listen to it though. Same with his other recent albums. If I really wanna listen to Eminem I usually only listen to his first three albums. Maybe sometimes Relapse or Recovery
