Some of Recovery writing is so bad it's absurd, like it's almost in that category of 'so bad it's good', and absolutely insane at the time that... it was the first time Eminem's perfect writer aura came off, bc even with Encore... it was just like laziness n he was f---ing about/high. But Recovery, some of the writing, was like 'oh okay... you're human, and, like, autistic'. Like, 'you said it you wanted your punchlines a little more compact, well shorty I'm that man'... then proceeds to write some of the most convoluted, long-winded and contrived punchlines ever. I'm an uncooked slab of beef laying on your kitchen floor / other words I'm off the meat rack... I mean. Absurd. MMLP2 has some truly incredible writing. Especially on the s--- he left off @ Groundhog Day and Wicked Ways wordplay... PHEW.
