Probably why he kept threading that through, to give him self an out of not needing it to be total logic following of what happens. But it's no coincidence he kills himself (and shady) by shooting himself in the head, that's the whole point - like fight club, where ed norton shoots himself and kills tyler durden... bc the alter ego is in his head so where else is he gonna s---t... No coindience that happens then he has two songs after that where he's rapping from a dead perspective.

Aug 21, 2024 What the actual f--- lmao It has a lot to do with the concept Eminem revisits the timeline when Slim Shady and side by side his drug addiction was at its peak and imagines himself not being able to witness his loved ones do well in life. To the ones who want the "Old Eminem", "Dark demented Slim Shady", he is showing them "Hey little f---ers. This was really the old Eminem, struggling for his life and on verge of losing everything he had worked for." With this, he proves he has his reasons to cause the "Death of Slim Shady". He struggles with this guilt/shame and question of bringing the "old Eminem" back and this is him trying to move on. And when you connect it with the starting track, this is him being trapped in a loop, feeling guilty about what Slim Shady/addiction caused him but yet bringing that s--- over and over again in his music just to please his fans.
