Sep 2, 2024 He absolutely did go very far conceptually. 97 Bonnie & Clyde, Stan & Kim alone. 97 Bonnie & Clyde... a love ode to his daughter, and hate letter to his wife, at the time, whilst storytelling a murder, using baby talk dialect to comedically imply macabre detail to the listener? That's fkn genius. Who the h--- was doing that but him. He also revolutionized (and it's still not been done to anywhere near the same level since) dialogue, lyrics as dialogue; first person. Like, 'Stan' and 'Kim' are first person, Bonnie & Clyde too I suppose but it just feels once removed because he's talking to Hailie in baby talk... But, 90% of other rappers, writers, would have written stan third person, and that's what rappers were doing; 'Stan did x, stan did y, he wrote and Eminem never replied!' etc. aka fkn corn. And nowhere near the power of just BEING the character on the track, brought it to life entirely. He is by nature a conceptual thinker, or, was. Since TES, as in, TES onwards - he's been self-obsessed and literal. Relapse he tried to go conceptual again but when people wanted what he was gonna try not to do, he succumbed in panic, grabbed pop stars, the hottest producers and just tried to cater to the masses. And he's been on shakey roads ever since. TDOSS is great rapping, but, given ITS concept, and how well he weaved some of the first half of the album... it's disappointing he didn't have any more actual concepts or ideas beyond GC2.
Sep 3, 2024 it's the same version I mean it's good but I'm a little bit disappointed since LL said it wasn't the official version.
Sep 3, 2024 Em was bored popping pills in his mansion in 04 and touring which most artists hate. He was lacking some action in his life back then.
Sep 3, 2024 They always say s--- like that lol, like 'ahh man it wasn't even finished' then the actual version is like no diff lmao. But to them they prolly changed like 1 snare somewhere n that was so important.
Sep 3, 2024 I swear I had this talk before lmao. Darkness is a great example yeah. He can't make movielike tracks for everytime he raps. It's just rap, let the guy have lyrical myricals, or just rap for the fun of it lmao. I don't even think you understand what my point is. To sum it up, if you are so interested in whatever kinda stuff you are interested in, go find an artist who raps about those. You don't have to hear those from Em, he doesn't have to come up with new content whenever he raps and again, this bs argument of yours can be made for any rapper. It's just such a bs. And I don't care man, really. I'm not Eminem. Even if I say yes and agree with everything you say, nothing is gonna change. I'm not saying he has to rap about same thing over and over again, the point is completely different. So just let it go. Just try to see why it's funny to constantly get stuck on that "he has to rap about this and that he always raps about same s---".
Sep 3, 2024 He was right. Any artist with over 50 songs would at least talk about same s--- twice or have some songs that don't really have much substance etc. But only when it comes to Em, he has to come up with new content and new s--- to talk about in every song. From now on, I'm not gonna reply to anybody who can't really see the hypocrisy of this s--- lmao.
Sep 3, 2024 you saying f--- your own people if you ever deported they are gonna throw their shoes at ya like they did with Bush
