Sep 3, 2024 '97 Bonnie & Clyde, Stan, sure. He has some great tracks with a concept, like Darkness as you previously mentioned. Not denying that at all. But what percentage of his songs are as creative as those? A couple per album? Even in his peak. I'd like more, but I don't expect it, and am not disappointed when it doesn't happen.

Sep 3, 2024 Yeah. Which, he said himself in some interview after he made 'Lose Yourself', he said he felt like he knew 'this is my ceiling' or something. It's like he fulfilled his natural artistic journey, like a full circle exploration of his personality and just had nowhere to go. He has been slightly confused ever since lol. Despite some brilliant songs, moments etc. history will definitely see it as 99-02/03 = Gold, then... forever wayward and kinda lost and swinging in the dark.
Sep 3, 2024 His star power just isn't the same. Well, more so interest in his music. Because, they put out 2 rounds of pre-orders and had the pre-save up for what... a month or more? Can't remember but maybe 2?... So, the numbers that he did do even was with all that. Months of high level pushing, pre-orders/saves, a huge single and still couldn't crack 300 thou. It's actually fkn crazy how big Taylor is. To sell fkn 2 + million in a week... at ANY point in time, but 2024? And 1.9 PHYSICAL?, so not even bs made up sales or some weird system like x streams = 1 sale or whatver. That's... insanity. She did 890 milly streams in a week to Em's 220. I mean, Em has been around a fair bit longer though, and a lot can change in just a few years. As in, a huge artist suddenly becomes a normal level artist overnight. One thing I am super confused about is why they did not release physicals. Like why months after. All I can think of is... they were trying to max digital first. Almost like to test the theory of 'can we make this mainly all digital?' as, obviously it's then less cost, less investment their side and more money so it makes better business sense. I'm guessing that's it bc otherwise I don't know why they wouldn't release em.

Not sure if the standard physicals hit the stores yet neither. It's really early to say anything about his numbers for now but streams alone are sbetter than MTBMBs first week with physicals included as which was 279k or something as I remember
