Like he’s not using it to write/record the raps himself but rather transform his voice into an era that is so loved He’s literally doing it for people like us on this forum. Dude just dropped an album full of material that is literally as if prime Em wrote and recorded it. I don’t think he’s getting enough credit for it — it’s far from lazy, it’s extremely creative and I don’t think any artist can do this to the same effect due to how iconic his voice is

Sep 13, 2024 People are too stupid. Now I want a full album with these AI vocals. In fact, apart from OG Fuel verse, the best parts of this album are the AI bits, including the new verse on Fuel. Old Em voice + layering are uncomparable.

Sep 13, 2024 Im convinced that Em's hearing is f-----, as he hinted when discussing the yelling on Recovery and BME. He's now went in the opposite direction resulting in vocals that sound dry, and lack fullness and are missing mids. He should go back to layering his vocals like he used to. While they do sound layered on the Fuel remix, the beat is messed up and lacks the fullness of the original record. It's so strange how this guy sometimes nails it for one song or just part of a song and goes back to doing something else wrong.
Sep 13, 2024 I don't even think it's about being picky. You go from accents to yelling, to rapping off beat to sounding like a robot. I miss the days where Encore was his lowest point. Some of the songs were trash but at least he knew how to f---ing ride a beat and not sound like he's just learning how to rap and mix songs
Sep 13, 2024 I agree and I've thought about it as well. Although I thought he had that tinnitus problem that forced him to add more mid-range in his vocals, during the MMLP2 and Revival eras. At least, that's what I remember from the Paul Podcast.
