Sep 17, 2024 Finally figured out where the fuels remix style is from. same flow as drop the world feature.
Sep 17, 2024 He ruined the potential for the album to have sequels by lazily making the entire story a dream. The "wake up, and it was all a dream" trope is one of the laziest in writing and entertainment. It seems like he did this just to get back to writing songs about himself, something he's done countless times. "Temporary" and "Somebody Save Me" aren’t just bad songs that sound terrible; they also make the whole album feel like it comes to a screeching halt just to include them.
Sep 17, 2024 Why would he k--- Slim? He knows that's what the fans want they are not stupid, Em and Paul know nostalgia plays a big part.
Sep 17, 2024 Dream can be foreshadowing and that didn’t k--- part B. What killed part B was Paul and his insistence on promoting the already released bonus tracks with a remix that was actually just an alternate version of fuel that got cut. Now part B makes 0 sense - and from the looks of the “mourners addition” offering - they got nothing else in the vault, which is surprising to me because I know they do. The whole thing is just weird but overall the project was cool and gave the fans the red meat they had been asking for. I think this is probably gonna be it unless he finds a fresh new direction to go out on.
Sep 17, 2024 Potentially yeah. Bc he comes fast (pause.. although, apparently, does, in general) when there's a) a really bad reception and he has to course correct quickly, i.e. Revival > Kami. Although tbf that was only once, not like he did that with Encore, but think we can make an exception like an erection since he was in drug h---. Or, b) when there's a really great one, from fans, because then he just continues in that lane and probably with the material he was already making. And even though TDOSS had his worst critical reception, basically none of it was for the music or his rapping, compared to say Revival where it was trashed on every level; plus fan reception has been overwhelmingly positive, and I'm sure he n Paul n co know this like a blowfish. Wonder where he'll go next. Knowing him and how he just follows on the story from his last project/the general narrative... probably a 'serious Eminem' album.
Sep 17, 2024 Did you see the impact of Slim or nah? just like the house and blonde hair when MMLP2 dropped. Slim like Michael Myers, he can't die.
Sep 17, 2024 Not sure how I feel about that. 4 years was too much, an album every year is too soon. Ask Nas.
Sep 17, 2024 According to the tracking ID, mine didn't even leave US yet even though it's "shipped" for a week lol. Do we have any estimates for Friday?
