Sep 19, 2024 I shouldn't be surprised but Hit Me Hard & Soft is still the best produced mainstream album of the year and it's nowhere near close
Sep 19, 2024 Sabrina far from new lol and it should be hard to beat a dude that has fans all over the world preordering from the US
Sep 19, 2024 To my mind, it didn't pull off big big numbers, as it is just not an album with replay value. Intricate, complex,.long songs are perfect for me and many stans but casuals will listen it just a couple of times and even like it but keep returning only for Houdini and some other songs.
Sep 19, 2024 exactly, it’s cool but it’s not replayable. That’s why I would put it in the middle area of Em’s discography. Don’t like how he keeps talking bout the same s--- for most of the album that much.
Sep 19, 2024 How is it debatable? lol that album was fire and dude had to do two tours for it I went back to Kamikaze and Side B a lot also. That’s why I easily put both over TDOSS any day.
Sep 19, 2024 If you want me to be super honest I don’t think any Eminem album is “replayable”. He doesn’t make that kind of music
Sep 19, 2024 ...I would def disagree with that lol. Most of us grew up on his music... we certaintly didn't play the albums a few times. His first four, even Relapse & Recovery were soundtracks to parts of my life. All of those albums are replayable asf to me. Got a lot out of MMLP2 too, all his albums besides TDOSS really - not that I don't like TDOSS, it's great; just play it way less and feel less urge to than usual. But thas not jus Em, that's what I'm feeling and sensing from others, with all music lately.
Sep 19, 2024 Obviously not with different genres but people do copy what is a 'hot' sound instead of making their own sometimes. Camila's latest album is a perfect example of that. Instead of sticking with her own (good and loved) style she copied Drake, Playboy Carti and others lol And very badly lol
Sep 19, 2024 Look, I’m not trying to insult Eminem. When I say “he doesn’t make that kind of music” I mean that he doesn’t make pop music (for the most part) that the braindead masses replay nonstop. I was directly talking to Marsh, and in this case, he is part of that braindead mass that replays mindless pop music nonstop. Context is important here. Marsh’s definition of replayable is not your definition of replayable. Trust me.
Sep 19, 2024 Even in the same genre s--- sounds different Well yeah but that’s a completely different point compared to what the video is addressing. There are many dumbfuck drones who keep repeating the sentiment that all music sounds the same these days. Not even all rap sounds the same these days. Anyone who says that doesn’t know what they’re talking about. Sure, if we’re talking about what’s popular, those songs tend to sound more similar. Even then, there’s still variety. Not Like Us is number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and sounds completely different than Like That at number 26. And those sound different than TGIF by GloRilla at number 34. Then you have Houdini by Eminem at number 48 which also sounds completely different… yes popular music has a tendency to sound similar but that sentiment is highly exaggerated
Sep 19, 2024 I just learned Spanish now I have to learn French too? f--- man f--- your baguettes I don’t want them.
