Nov 21, 2024 again a completely off base assessment tbh. not only does the song sound like a d--- news segment it isn’t just about the content bro are you paying attention to the tone and intonation of his voice? how many elements of the beat he’s riding at once? whether he’s using start rhymes? how many layers of metaphor there are? whether he relies on assonance? whether the storytelling is vivid, coherent and connected? he’s on another level now lyrically and anyone who doesn’t realize that is kidding themselves

Nov 21, 2024 his promotion’s always been scatterbrained like splattered paint lol. there’s so much happening on this album, it at least deserves the promo and behind the scenes treatment he’s spent on all the half assed albums he’s made since mmlp2. and if the 2028 album is even close to what that fuel remix is like then ima be coasting till 2032 i understand that, and his slow melodic delivery (which frankly that track isn’t even a prime example of) is entrancing but i like the supersonic delivery here and there and honestly i prefer needing to go on genius to unpack a condensed symphony than listening to such a rambling, sonically sparse track even twice. i know people were tired of all the fast feature verses about being the best but this song is production wise just really boring but coulda been a great collab and i just feel like it’s a far cry from sumn super atmospheric like airplanes 2 or soundtrack to my life
