Dec 2, 2021 He is r-----ed. Paul didn't allow it since Bass Brothers wanted a piece of the pie. Rightfully so (as in Bass Brothers wanting their fair share).
Dec 2, 2021 Truth hurts. Or maybe some of you just don't want him to be serious about his career and drop a great album. I understand he wants to keep having fun with rap, but putting this songs on his albums? I don't know. I hate having to skip them.
Dec 2, 2021 You're an idiot, every em fan wants something different from him, what's great to you isnt great to someone else. Not every em fan is a section 80 obsessed, gay p--- posting, needing a translator, no life Stanley like yourself.
Dec 2, 2021 So you think dumb tracks don't hurt the album as a whole? It was fun back then but it's 2021 and dude is 50 you fagphobic, we're trying to have a serious discussion, don't try to be Supsuck. I'm not dumb, we all know he will keep the same formula, some LTWYL remakes, some silly tracks, and a couple good tracks. But it's ok to ask for something better, even though I think Relapse will be his last classic, silly album, but still dope thanks to Dre.
Dec 2, 2021 Relapse is only good because of Dre? You’ve had some horrible opinions Marsh but this beats them all.
Dec 2, 2021 Eminem’s voice meshes well with real instruments he should pursue that instead of conforming to trends.
Dec 2, 2021 It’s not why people just like the album though or why it’s a cult classic in his fanbase. People only say Dre is only good thing about the album as it’s copout to why they don’t like it. Such a lazy reason in my opinion to dismiss the album like that. Even if that was the case. Who picks the beats? Who rhymes over them? It don’t make sense saying Dre the only good thing about it.
Dec 2, 2021 dre was not the part of the relapse album. dre was the album's itself. relapse was the proof that dre repeats himself and starts to fall off. em realised it and looked out for new producers and make albums without dre beats.
Dec 2, 2021 I think Em taking a decent amount of time to release this next project is well-needed as with the content he’s been producing in the last few years, it became a bit tiring & oversaturated. Personally I lost the excitement on the prospect of new music from him for awhile & as time goes on I’m starting to look forward to it again. Here’s hoping there’s an evolution in his style again, we’ve been missing that aspect for the last couple of albums. I hope he’s garnered some inspiration from the Dre project/rollout.
Dec 2, 2021 Stan’s like Em’s part of Relapse but the general consensus is the only redeeming feature of Relapse is its production & in fact, Em ruined a lot of the potential of Relapse with the accents & nonsensical content. He botched the execution. Most fans only look back at it in such a gleaming light because it’s the last ‘authentic’ Eminem album where he wasn’t chasing some commercialised success or complaining about his position in hip hop.
Dec 2, 2021 Lock it Up & Discombobulated are most people’s favourite cuts from the last 2 projects he released, both produced by Dre.
Dec 2, 2021 Agree that Relapse could've been better I feel like R2 would've been what you and I would've wanted. Relapse is cool but feels like it's missing a lot but once you throw in refill is when it reaches that level of hype Eminem fans claim it has. I think the standard album just leaves alot to be desired kind of left like it was cool but that's it?
Dec 2, 2021 Lock it up beat is amazing wish there would've been one more verse and discombobulated first beat is great as well there was no need for a beat switch imo
Dec 2, 2021 I guess we’ll never know. So Bad, On Fire (& Cocaine?) made it look promising though but still missing something. Relapse: Refill was nice but again carried by the production, I just think the problem was he was trying too hard to be edgy around the Relapse era & it came off like that in comparison to a lot of his older music which felt effortless. But it isn’t like he was incapable, take a look at The Warning released around the same time, scathing diss, effortless delivery & flow because he knew he needed to execute it with precision. He seems to only channel his skills correctly when he’s challenged.
