Dec 4, 2021 I think Kamikaze was just what he needed after Revival, though he should have made it sooner because his defense of Revival is misplaced. It really is a bad album. But you're still calling it a diss album. Greatest, Normal, Stepping Stones, Kamikaze, Nice Guy, Good Guy, Venom - these aren't diss songs, not even Greatest or Kamikaze, he's just flexing there the same way he always does at imaginary opponents (except Die Antwood or whatever) On Lucky You it's just a general poke at mumble rap, not really a diss track On Ringer he mentions a lot of names, but the theme of the song is "I'm pissed off you say I lost it when I'm this good" Basically, only Not Alike and Fall devote a large amount of time to dissing someone. They call Recovery pop album equally wrong. It's a misconception.
Dec 4, 2021 That's what was needed then, not Kamikaze. If Eminem did songs like these or remix these songs without the fast flow and s-----y rhymes. I was just waiting for Eminem to talk about his 50 y.o. shady gangsta life #ShadyGANG, what it's like to live in a mansion with 200 million dollars and behind him D12 and Bizarre smoking a joint. And he, like the main Shady Gangsta rapper, rapping with a calm flow (like on b--- OG, King Mathers). That would be the right answer, without diss songs, over the modern gangsta beat.
Dec 4, 2021 To be honest, b--- OG song alone was better than anything he did during the Kamikaze era. This b--- OG song is the only reason why I'm still here. When the song b--- OG came out, I realized that Eminem still exists, that Eminem still has balls. This is his best gangsta song since 06-07. This song was enough to answer all the critics, this song is a billion better than the entire Kamikaze album. f--- Kamikaze album. I still listen to this song sometimes. it is a masterpiece. I forgot about the Kamikaze album 2 weeks after the release and I don't remember anymore.
Dec 4, 2021 Revival era was his best era in 10 years because it was literally the best thing Eminem has done in the last 10 years, it even sometimes looked like part of his gangsta era:
Dec 4, 2021 gangsta rap album Revival 2 with gangsta beats and calm flow, without fast rap like in the old days. King Mathers 2. I want to hear about his gangsta life again like it did in the mid 2000s.
Dec 4, 2021 Yeah I mean Rap God only has over 1 billion views, Leaving Heaven 11 million, and Infinite 13 million compared to Drug Ballad's 4.3 million on Eminem's official YouTube page. The people are REALLY into Drug Ballad over those songs.
Dec 4, 2021 Either way, given time, this is Em's classic list: Slim Shady LP Marshall Mathers LP The Eminem Show Relapse Recovery(hot take, but it brought Em back to the height of his popularity and has two diamond singles. Many people still love this album) Kamikaze MTBMB
Dec 4, 2021 Actually both are true representations of who he is as an artist right now and not a cringey attempt to be fake and be someone he isn't
Dec 4, 2021 +SSEP +Encore (yes, I overrated this album and it is now a classic with a couple of bad songs) + Relapse (masterpiece from the first listening) + Revival (masterpiece from the first listening. this album helped me a lot, I felt the same things in that moment that Eminem was talking about. I think this is his best album)
Dec 4, 2021 50 has released G-Unit and BMF Christmas ornaments lol need some Em ones. Funny as h---. He looked like someone turned a San Andreas character white.
