Jan 26, 2025 I don't think it's overrated at all, from what I've seen most people think it's ok or pretty good and that's reasonable to me, others hate it and find it corny but that sounds reasonable too, it's not the greatest nor the worst thing in the world, it's just there y'know and I like it a lot for what it is (most of it anyway)

Jan 26, 2025 Absolutely, I remember all the talk about "King Mathers" and the endless speculation about Em’s next album back then. It really was such a mysterious time, with everyone thinking he might retire soon, especially after Proof’s death and the shift in his music around that period. Based on the info that’s come out and the leaks we’ve been getting, I’m feeling pretty optimistic about finally hearing the album, hopefully sooner rather than later. A “lost tapes”-style release from that era would be incredible, especially knowing that the majority of the tracks released around that time period have been solid. I said it yesterday, but if Follow Me didn't make the tracklist, he must've had a solid album ready to go.
Jan 26, 2025 I know the lyrics are pretty bad on most of the leaks from that era but there's something about tracks like "The Apple" or "Everything I Do" that sounds so f---ing good that I wish we could hear more from that time, no doubt. Let's not forget that supposedly "My Darling" came from that time and that's a very solid track, a full version of "Hip-Hop Shop" (if there even is one) would be f---ing awesome too
