May 26, 2025 at 12:16 PM Uzi was cool in 2017 when he made that all my friends are dead song. But yeah his new stuff sounds like meme music.
May 26, 2025 at 1:23 PM Maybe for his engineers, too, since Joe got busted and Mike is a relative of his. You never know, man. I just hope for the best for every party in the end. It still feels so strange, pun intended.
May 26, 2025 at 2:22 PM exactly 100%…if you can be successful as an influencer…you have a good chance of making money with industry gatekeepers because most of the job is done…getting a following…and that goes with film, music and any other art form the industry sees they have a possibility of a return on their $$$ investment as opposed to starting from scratch and higher percentage of failure
May 26, 2025 at 2:28 PM true you’re right, but for example a prime Eminem/dr. Dre/jayz has more influence at that time with the artists they sign versus now as they get older and younger generations are following drake or kendrick for example… 50 cent being signed at that time with Eminem blowing up was perfect storm…Obie and d12 got huge pushes too by the industry because Eminem was all over their albums and even Dre…50 took advantage and blew up even more than d12/obie no shady artist now gets that…feature at most…and only Eminem fans care…not making to mainstream music…. if drake signs you and features you…you have a bigger chance of blowing up because currently drake a bigger artist than dr. Dre, Em and is more popular with younger consumers… lil Wayne signing drake was perfect moment too considering Wayne was killing it at that time and drake was coming up

May 26, 2025 at 2:58 PM I hope to hear something like Fuel Remix. I hope that was a sign for the direction he will go, like he did with Chloroseptic Remix. Of course, I talk about the voice and flow/delivery.
May 26, 2025 at 2:58 PM I think age has a lot to do with it. Back then Eminem was in the spotlight all the time and he was all over those Shady Records albums, of course the general public listened to them. Even up until Recovery and MMLP2 he was making his voice sound so different and trying new flows and opening up himself to guest features no one would have expected. I think If things had been different he would have been all over the Shady artists albums at the time had they been making any. He would have taken them on tour I think since Revival he's just been happy to record and put stuff out and may not have the same energy he used to. We know he constantly records music.....I'm not sure about right now as someone else said Joe Strange was a relation to another engineer. Who knows if that has caused other trust issues behind the scenes and we m know Em can't play any instruments, he cant go in the studio and do it all on his own but to make a real success of Shady Records he needs to be all over their albums not just in production but actual features. There needs to be radio appearances and TV appearances and I just don't think he's got that physical energy anymore. I think If these artists were producing amazing albums on their own....he would have no issue releasing them but maybe they're not. Maybe they're not great at public speaking and selling themselves and causing their own bit of controversy to get people taking.....and to get the general public to notice and want to listen. Being a good rapper just isn't enough these days. They need to be larger than life characters to stand out. It can't always be down to Eminem to do all the work
May 26, 2025 at 4:56 PM Note that a very large amount of Em production is needed, as well! Luis Resto is the man, too.
