Jan 2, 2022 Yeah... it's baffling. Tbh. For somebody I considered an artistic p---- for his response to Relapse reception... As, I feel he genuinely liked/likes Relapse and was bowing to response... I felt that was fake and weak, yet he immediately trashed it, and Relapse is as authentic as it comes - artistically - then you got Revivial... which he's defending to his death, and it's COMPROMISED AS f---!!! the most compromised f---ing thing he's ever done / f--- the themes, the lyrical subject matter... just, the way he went about it, with the beats, the hooks, get the FUCCCCCK outta here. I woulda thought it would be the other way around, that he'd be like 'nah, okay, f--- Revival' and defend Relapse to his death. I think two reasons. 1 - Relapse was his comeback album and he'd been away and whilst we all still saw/see him as 'Eminem'... he's just a human and when he got that bad reception, he was probably like 'f---, this could be it unless I change course' 2 - I think he wrote, over-wrote A LOT for Revival. The beats n feats may have s----d but remember that thing where it said he wrote 10,000 pages or something for it. Like, I think that's why he's so defensive, like, regardless of the musical aspects of it... he wrote his a--- off. But why tf does he ONLY care about the Mic now. Why doesn't he care about the whole songs. Whenever he disputes an album, he's always talking about the bars, it's like... bro, that's PART OF IT... you also have the hook, the beat, the theme. He seems to think it's ONLY BARS.
