Jan 6, 2022 In one month, Dr. Dre will headline the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show. A new report from TMZ claims that the newly-single rap icon is spending a ton to make sure the show is one to remember. He is reportedly fronting most of the money needed to pull off his performance, which is in the millions. However, he could lose millions if the recent COVID-19 surge cancels the Super Bowl. Dre has event cancelation insurance to cover any calamity that might derail the halftime show, but there’s an exclusion for COVID, which means the insurance policy will not reimburse Dre if the show is axed. It is likely that the show will go on as planned, but the crowds could be scaled back or even eliminated due to the ongoing pandemic. The other possibility is that the game could be moved to another venue in a different city. Rap-up.com
Jan 6, 2022 Dre doesn’t need a reimbursement no matter how much he’s dropping on this, I doubt it’ll even dent his bank account

Jan 6, 2022 Dre paying out of pocket confirms a album… also means this is going to be the best album rollout in history
Jan 6, 2022 why would he pay out of pocket for any other reason for 13 minutes of stage time with 4 other people. I mean we’ve all speculated and know dre has a album. But we all know it’s dre as well
Jan 6, 2022 Yeah. Using it as promotion and having more control of what goes on during the performance is probably a great use of the money. JayZ and Dre both win in that deal
Jan 6, 2022 Yeah it’s definitely an investment. Obviously he’ll be making money on the performance but it’s weird he’s putting money up front for it.
