Jan 16, 2022 For you guys, what would qualify this coming album as a success? For me, it has to equal or top MMLP2 and Relapse (those albums rank around #4-5 for me). I’ll be disappointed if it’s another Kamikaze/MTBMB side A quality album. I’ll be very, very disappointed if it’s side B quality.

Jan 16, 2022 so question for you guys (and maybe 1-2 girls that dwell on section80) .. what is it about mmlp2 that you all love so much ? its a good album with some pretty cool productions .. but i find that its an album with no hard standouts... every time I play it around people that aren't Eminem fans, I feel like I'm annoying them, because it's not an easy listen for casual listeners. I personally love a lot of the album, don't get me wrong it ranks high, but It's missing those boom-bap beats that are easy to listen to. Rick Rubin does no favours for most of the samples. Game of love feels like it never crescendos and so far has a funny old school shady style but man the verses are so slow paced it's not a bump it in the car kinda vibe song. Survival is very generic, brainless has an amazing hook ... but is ruined by the verses (that back-throat rapping, makes it seem like he is always behind the beat) and... most of the songs feel like they are ALMOST great. However, the good: opening and closing tracks are INSANE, Berserk is a very fun song to bump in the car, and the monster grew on me, the subject matter of that song is great even if that beat is straight out of a flo-rida album haha .... overall to me I have nostalgia linked to that album because it came out literally the ev of my first daughter's birth, and it helped me through that period in my life as a new father.... so subjectively i love it ... but looking back at it objectively ... It's hard to put it super high on my list, because of its flaws.
