Jan 18, 2022 Yeah I tend to agree with this. I can't escape the thought that if he hadn't released Kamikaze, MTBMB A, MTBMB B, and had he held on to all those songs, he could've selected 20 out of all of them... and he could have had an instant classic album. Like a #1 album. Obviously, we as fans much rather having 3 albums instead of just 1. But looking at it from a legacy standpoint, imagine the effect it would've had on his career if he stopped for a few years after Revival and then came out with a huge album with only the best from Kamikaze and MTBMB A and B.

Jan 18, 2022 Yeah artists tend to do that. Specially the geniuses. Michael Jackson (possibly the only artist Eminem can be compared to) would sometimes work on 1 song for more than 10 years, cuz he was just a perfectionist. And keep going back to it until it sounded perfect to him. And maybe even after 10 years he'd still feel unsatisfied and never finish it or release it. He had like 100 songs like that. Some others did come out after more than 10 or 15 years of working on it.

Jan 18, 2022 I get where you're coming from I really do, but at the same time have you seen how great his numbers have been with number 1 albums?... Also personally I love all them albums and I would prefer to not have to choose 1/3 of them just to make 1 album
