Jan 19, 2022 What if people's reaction to the Cordae remix made him push the album back? Can that be a thing?
Jan 19, 2022 I think the parables remix is like at least a year old at this point, someone said it was recorded close to the killer remix
Jan 19, 2022 I thought the same thing after his EPMD II verse dropped. Because around that time there was this rumor that he already filmed a music video.
Jan 19, 2022 As much as I dislike Budden that one dude on the podcast called it correctly. It felt like a J. Cole album
Jan 19, 2022 Jesus I found a thread on when TES just dropped, f--- me he was hated https://www.dogsonacid.com/threads/the-eminem-show.60312/ also read threads on when Encore leaked and most saying, he lost it since MMLP What tf!!!! Was TES hated back then?
Jan 19, 2022 The album lacked a voice. That's what happens with J. Cole albums sometimes. It's got bars, there's tracks that are good, but as an album experience it fades in the background constantly. Everything is passable, nothing is trash, but nothing sticks out and makes you go back. Personally I thought J. Cole had this problem with KOD, but man did he fix it on The Off Season (to an extent, at least).
Jan 19, 2022 Wow holy s---, arguably one of the best hiphop albums got these reactions? just shows how much album age matters.
Jan 19, 2022 Yea didnt he talk about that in Careful What You Wish For? Insane how people didn't hear it how ingenious it was, but I guess that's what happens when you're so polarizing
Jan 19, 2022 Speaking about that TES reaction too, you already know when Em dies people are going to start praising the f--- out of his newer albums, I just wonder which ones though. Personally I think MMLP2 will be praised, Recovery will be praised, Relapse will stay a cult classic, I think Kamikaze will get slightly more love, and I think MTBMB will stay that solid mid to upper tier good Eminem album.
