Jan 20, 2022 He comes and goes. Builds to it and retreats. Recovery he can be talking about making a sandwich or almost dying in front of his daughters and the tone never changes.
Jan 20, 2022 SSLP and MMLP sounded like nothing else when they came out. Like, I wasn’t even sure it was rap. If you were old enough back then then u know what I’m talking about. Kinda like X with dark and h--- is hot. We were like wtf is this, this shi* is dope!

Jan 20, 2022 While we’re waiting for our L, does anyone know the Michelle Eminem was referring to on Guns Blazin’?
Jan 20, 2022 Eminem was like Michael Jackson back then which is probably another arcane reference to you because things just aren’t the same anymore. Like to put it in perspective, Drake is huge, but social media has us taking people down publicly so often Thst it kind of wears off the mystique that larger than life artists had. We see them having regular moments, we see them more just period. Eminem was a unicorn as a legitimately all time talented lyrical rapper who was a white boy in the late 90s. That alone was crazy. Then he had the dRe stamp which was insane. Then he had these shocking lyrics that back then you really had to live in those times to understand just how ballsy what he was saying was. It wasn’t like today where you could just go online and see whatever you wanted on your phone any time. Thr stuff he was saying blew kids minds, and parents hated it and that made it all that much cooler. I can’t tell you what a shockwave Kim was and how cool it was Thst he was telling you these intimate details of his life you really didn’t get from other artists at the time, and at the same time thr media was up in arms about his use of the f word and all That. Just a different era. besides that, I think musically and critically you’re being a little harsh on the album. His flow is incredible, you just have to know what you’re listening to. The MMLP era flow is amazing because he is rhyming internal complex syllables but it’s super digestible because it sounds like he’s just having a causal conversation with you. So while he may be technically more impressive with his modern try hard schemes, it was incredible what he was doing back then. I think the production is also top notch. k--- you is the stand out IMO. Timeless beat. And the album is just f---ing fun.
