Jan 22, 2022 I think Em always tries to please everybody. He tries to include songs that might appeal to every type of audience. So that there's something for everybody. Which is wrong. But it's also what made him the superstar he is. Because SSLP wouldn't have been the same without My Name Is. MMLP wouldn't have been the same without The Real Slim Shady. TES wouldn't have been the same without Without Me. So he's always trying to go back to that formula. Serious songs about the Rap Game. Serious songs about his family/past. Light/Funny songs. Relationship songs.
Jan 22, 2022 Your just basing your whole Jay 4.44 thing from what critics and Joe Budden said about it. Lot of issues with Eminem and his music but not being serious or mature enough, is not one of them. He has so many sides to him, while this is good, also a flaw in his recent albums
Jan 22, 2022 Yeah I know, it is cheating. What I mean by that is that 4:44 only has 10 songs. Eminem gave us 30 songs on his last project. I don't know about you, but for me? Gimme 30 songs. Always. I'll pick the ones I like the most. I'd rather not having to narrow it down to 10 and maybe miss some good songs that may never see the light.
Jan 22, 2022 I haven't listened to Budden since Budden TV Supsuck, and I never read a review for 4:44, I just listened to it so many times and loved it, never skipped a track. How is his music not being mature enough not a problem when songs like Stepdad are so embarrasing to listen to? or so many more from MTBMB, Revival, MMLP2. Those songs make the albums worse, and he puts them there on purpose

We Made You should have never been a single, or a song at all, but he was following the formula of his previous 4 albums.

If Eminem suddenly rapped about driving a Ferrari and how he just made 80 billion, that be weird as f--- and no one wants to hear that. Same if Jay made a fictional song about his parents or life, it is just not who they are. Your opinion is definitely based off critics because you’re repeating the same, redundant topic. Jay is not even close to the emotional or mature content that Em has done. Rapping about money and cheating doesn’t make him this mature genius you keep harping about.
Jan 22, 2022 I also love 50, even if he's never been the most technical rapper or never had the lyrical dexterity of the other rappers I listed. And I might be among the minority here but do enjoy Joyner's music quite a lot as well.
