Feb 12, 2022 Honestly, I think we’re getting a Dre album and probably a tour, and Em won’t drop until closer to the tour but he’s working on the album.
Feb 12, 2022 [just as an aside... fashion actually was a pretty big deal at the time -- early 2000s -- & how Em dressed and how he spoke kind of shocked people. You just didn't really see the "fashion statement" done (unironically) by white guys. It took balls & he got s--- for dressing that way. It made a big impression where I lived because his appearance, right down to his mannerisms, fit what people expected from a rapper... except that he was white. That was unforgivable. People either admired him for pulling it off, or hated him for it. There never was any in-between.]
Feb 12, 2022 I'm just saying that all these rappers and even r&b artists were wearing xxxl clothes and durags. Even Drake and Kendrick were dressing like that in the beginning of their careers. And seeing it now it looks weird as f---, but back then it was the usual.
Feb 12, 2022 I’m being told he is shaving it tonight and bleaching his hair right before the performance.
Feb 12, 2022 Honestly there has to be some sort of album/music announcement tomorrow from either Dre, Kendrick or Em, right? Wouldn’t make sense not to, tbh. I’ll be happy with any of them announcing something — but it’s Dre’s event mainly, so he makes the most sense. Have previous albums been announced at the Super Bowl? Either at performances or during the half times ads?
Feb 12, 2022 Interesting point about looking the past. My only worry is that there’s some part of the contract that prohibits any sort of personal advertisement from the artists. Because I feel like some scumbag like Maroon 5 would’ve been promoting the f--- out of his autistic art if it were allowed
