    Not really beneficial too announcing an album, dropping singles and videos months before the album date any more. Everyone has a streaming service and everyone is streaming music in this current era. Surprise drops happen because it causes pandemonium on social media, internet and stream numbers will hit the roof. Plus artists can work on the album till last second and add final touches to it without any pressure to hit a certain date or what ever.
