Feb 20, 2022 I agree... But they said it, they never thought of pursuing artists and adding value, they wanted to act as a boutique label, but scout-wise, looking out for potential not established artists, therefore the former end something like "pets". Once more I agree... Really dope album, I really enjoyed it. But for me, Yela was pretty consistent with his music throughout. And I think he did evolve with Shady Records, and Mud Mouth was a good proof of that and nice end of their partnership. Certainly it's a good enough album to call it a day on his hip-hop chapter and pursue his versatility in different genre now.
Feb 20, 2022 Good on Conway for escaping the black void of Shady records. Clearly GDMM is f---ing done and has been for some time, but Shady won't put it out
Feb 20, 2022 you want the smoke got the tical like method man so get ready to die from second hand get a whiff of the doctor's medicine like sedatives you'll get popped excedrin
Feb 20, 2022 Em has the right to be upset. Stans are mostly cool people and that is universally agreed upon
Feb 20, 2022 Daily reminder that Em defends revival and s----s all over relapse and encore, say what you will about those two (I personally like relapse A LOT) but at the very least they had some classics in them, revival on the other hand... Encore: Like Toy Soldiers, Yellow Brick Road, Mockingbird, Encore Relapse: 3 A.M., Stay Wide Awake, Deja Vu, Beautiful, Crack a Bottle (Last time the 3 of them were together on an album if I recall correctly) Revival: Kamikaze
Feb 20, 2022 I can see why he has that stance though. Revival was lyrical miricle s--- but lacked substance as actual music. Encore and Relapse was more focus on the music and less on the lyrics. Em nowadays is just a lyrics man so it's obvious he would think this about his own catalog.
Feb 20, 2022 Also publicly agreed with Lord Jamar, who was bullying Em back then. Dude wasn't very smart clearly
