Feb 22, 2022 Just watched it. The guy on the left is the only one who knows what he's talking about. Even though I loved Side B and MTBMB as a whole, I can agree with a lot of the things he's saying. And even with the ones I disagree, I can see he's making fair points. He said something like "Em is focusing too much on one aspect of his music" which is something I definitely agree. He's been focusing on bars/punchlines/doubles-triples and showing off how technical he can get, while disregarding depth in his lyrics and content, which he used to have in abundance. And the beat selection can be questionable sometimes as well. The musicality of it all has regressed in general after The Eminem Show and while sometimes he pulls out amazing stuff that sound good to the ear, some others he just sounds robotic or monotonous.
Feb 22, 2022 Yeah myke has been my favorite of the crew for a minute now, he just actually puts s--- in a easy to understand but non antagonistic (usually) perspective from a criticism pov and it's pretty funny in the process.
Feb 22, 2022 What I didn't understand was their hate for Book of Rhymes. It's fine if they don't like it, but the way Feefo and Ken worded their dislike seemed a little harsh. Em did the title justice imo. If you can ignore the content and look at the rhymes.
Feb 22, 2022 That song also got dope lines and double-entendres. I was going to post them too but I forgot about it. But yeah, I don't know how to feel about some certain lines, like the one I mentioned.
Feb 22, 2022 Bro I remember all the crazy convos I had on TR Shady about that new Eminem Album that was rumored to be fully produced by Dr Dre again. It will be a tribute Album for Proof and s--- like that. Then the Album was nothing like it, and everyone hated it. In retroperspect Relapse is a weird beast, that imho gets better with each year that passes. I am glad Em made it.
Feb 22, 2022 The biggest issue that's been plaguing it has always been the accents but it's definitely easier to enjoy now when you listen to it for what it is. It has aged well and the production on the album is amazing.
Feb 22, 2022 It still amazes me how people can let one or a few bad lines ruin an (otherwise) good song Like it's fine to acknowledge it has one or more s--- lines, but if that discredits the whole song... there are so many songs (by most artists) that are unlistenable.
Feb 22, 2022 I like how I have songs like that permanently in my memory Lil baby talking about spanking other rappers (grown men) over his knee in Face of My City by Jack Harlow Big Sean talking about his precum in Way Out by Jack Harlow
Feb 22, 2022 This is why it rubbed me the wrong way so much on the 1st listen, i was cringing listening throughout.
Feb 22, 2022 Exactly. Lil Wayne's She Will is a 10/10 song to me. But f---.. its filled with corny lines lol
Feb 22, 2022 Listened to a chunk of MMLP today, he was transcending Earth on that album, songs like Who Knew & Marshall Mathers are insanity.
Feb 22, 2022 Your mama can ask me for my autograph 'Cause that cougar's a MILF She's the oldest trick in the book, but I sure would fall for that MMLP2 wordplay is by far my favourite.
Feb 22, 2022 I just realized recently how many bad lines Wayne has in his songs. A lot more than Em. He's still one of the GOATS tho.
Feb 22, 2022 it had its bs moments, but not as bad as it's been lately, MMLP2 em is probably the best modern em
