Aug 5, 2021 Topless is so good, I wish Dre would give that beat to someone, we deserve a mixed and mastered song over that production.
Aug 5, 2021 And that's exactly why I respect his progression on Kamikaze, MTBMB, and Side B so d--- much. The consistency he's shown on these projects is leagues above what he did on MMLP2. Clearly, the highs on MMLP2 are much higher than the highs on any of these albums (exception: a handful of songs), but the bad habits he picked along the way while writing for MMLP2 culminated with the disaster we all know as Revival. Ever since then, his sonic skills have seen a gradual improvement throughout the subsequent three projects. While there are issues still unaddressed, he's improved a whole lot. And this consistency in his recent discography as well as a strong emphasis on the sonic appeal of the music he's putting out, coupled with acquiring that underdog image again in the mainstream view makes me hopeful that he will put out a modern-day classic sooner than imaginable.
Aug 5, 2021 I've been told there's a hidden/surprise verse by Skylar Grey in this NAS/EMINEM/EPMD song.
Aug 5, 2021 Em knows what he has to do on a track like this, for sure. I can see feeling like it is 20 years too late or whatever, but this is the best time of having Em on the same track with Nas after his prime. Imagine having 2012 Em, the Throw that & come on ride my bicicle-Em on a pure hip hop track with Nas and EPMD or even a 2014 Em the right for me & shadyxv-Em. This calm fresh of the mtbmb b side Em is gonna do wonders
Aug 5, 2021 He had to step it up. There's no way he could've gave Nas a verse with one of his s--- flows and Robot voice. I could be wrong but this is probably his biggest feature since he collaborated with Jay-Z. And i'm not talking about popularity. I'm talking about respected MCs and one that he actually admires and that has influenced him.
Aug 5, 2021 My only deception is that this is a part 2 of a song Nas did on his first album. Which gives me the feeling that it's not important enough to be it's own song. It's not like the first song was a big hit. But hey, we bout to find out soon.
Aug 5, 2021 Yes definitely! I think he is aware of that. Last time since he was with a og outside his camp was with Fat joe right? Did he deliver? f--- yes he did. But he admires and respects Nas in a completley different way, he was literally a nas biter back in the day, he will give it 110%. Is it one thing Em wants it is to be respected by his peers
Aug 5, 2021 Since I stopped poppin' Xanax I kept dreamin' about a Nas Collab 20 years later or even more He invited me and EPMD To Spazz The f--- out
