But most of the artists who achieved that can easily go independent and still do the same numbers is my point. Not sure how can anybody disagree with that ? so basically, you are saying if Em or Kendrick wasn't signed to Aftermath Interscope, Or Drake to YM or Universal Music Group or whatever he is signed to, they wouldn't sell the same ? That's non sense to me. Sure labels might have helped with their careers at the beginning but nowadays I'M not sure if they are really depend on labels at all...
