Mar 26, 2022 Between MMLP2 & Revival, he barely released an album length of material and half of them were basically wack as f---. They didn't have any replay value whatsoever. Lyricism is always there, I can appreciate anything he does in that sense but it doesn't make much for me when they sound bad. So 2013-17 were terrible years in Em's career. The fact that he came with Revival (an album which sounded very outdated in many ways sonically and had other problems) after 4 years of solo album silence tells me maybe he shouldn't take too much time creating an album. That being said, it's only been a lil more than a year since he last released. I believe he'll release a new album this year and hopefully, it'll be at least as good as MTBMB. BUt if he really needs more time to perfect his craft, Idc. It's ok. There are thousands of old albums i still haven't heard, hundreds of artists I'm still discovering etc.
