Apr 12, 2022 But how can you say an album is good if it's not mainstream, bro? That's like going to see a movie during it's opening weekend before the numbers are in. How do you expect me to know if I liked it? When my grandma hears about a Game album then I will know it's good. Meanwhile he can do what he wants but he's not selling without a big single like Rap God.
Apr 12, 2022 COTI is Banks' album then? I agree that album was flawless Kept thinking it was a Tyler album or smth lol (when people say COTI)
Apr 12, 2022 I think it's cause this was the first one without a mega hit, there's some big songs but when you couple that with how the streaming era works it's unfortunate. Seems like it still sold a lot tho from what I've seen, and as we know sales are all that matters.
Apr 12, 2022 Most albums do nowadays tbh. Pretty rare for an album to have longevity in the streaming era
Apr 12, 2022 I wholeheartedly agree with that. I still got some songs in my playlist, the plays look healthy, but yea there isn't that mega hit here. It just doesn't seem enough for a, how long was it, 5 year wait?
Apr 12, 2022 Now I'm trying to think of albums that have actually stayed as of late. I feel like Dawn FM has stayed (I have a bias for that though), WLR has definitely stayed cause those playboi carti fans crazy, Donda still seems somewhat relevant but it's hard to gauge that with Donda 2.
Apr 12, 2022 Adding onto this post. After looking through my albums holy s---, nothing has stayed. Remember Faith, the 2nd Pop Smoke posthumous album? Me neither. Planet Her has stayed. KD2 has stayed more than the Off Season (I prefer the latter though). This is actually difficult for me to say lol. It definitely was talked about throughout 2020-2021, but hasn't been talked about that much recently. I'll agree though cause it's always mentioned when you talk about Dawn FM
Apr 12, 2022 I'll still be down for a Collab as long as it's not generic love song #7,000,000,000,002 Finneas can produce a b-----r as well.
