Apr 30, 2022 Best thing Shady 3.0 can do is keep Em out of their albums like Skylar did, that way they will see if they have any fans. It's just a comment since Em has been on vacation for a while and it seems like he won't be back anytime soon.
Apr 30, 2022 i dont even know what to say about this...man on another sidenote though, seems like rock is having a bit of a resurgence as of late, pretty cool imo
Apr 30, 2022 You're more than delusional at this point. 10 years from now people will be asking... Hey Sue, how's your husband? Sue will respond: Ah, pretty good, seems to be delusional a little. Response: Nah, he's kinda marshie, you know? Lost already
Apr 30, 2022 You wouldn’t even know, you’ve never seen past the mainstream wall, you’re missing out on over 99% of music output from all creatives out of pure ignorance. It’s just wild to me how you invest so much time on a music-dedicated forum & have this distorted idea. Mind boggling lol.
Apr 30, 2022 This is facts. I mean, me personally, underground rap definitely f---ing sucks but I kind of am able to say that after sitting through 2 entire albums of Boldy James + more
Apr 30, 2022 I don’t even think the ‘underground’ tag is a tangible thing anymore. The streaming era has blurred the lines & basically created only 1 separated category to the rest of the music released worldwide, which is the charts which in itself is such a low scope on the reality of output, but on a good week you’d still only have 1 or 2 genuinely great projects with the rest being the same old trending corporate sterile music rolling for weeks on the charts like the Ed Sheeran’s etc. whilst there’s tens of great projects outside of the charts being released on the same week that don’t hit them lists, doesn’t mean they’ve ceased to exist & people aren’t enjoying them. To deny yourself all the great music outside of the charts in this golden era of discovery where even algorithms do the work for you, is dumb as f--- for someone who daily rotates music forums.
Apr 30, 2022 nah dont worry I agree, I find underground rap pretty cheap & low quality most of the time (just my opinion) but I really f--- with underground pop & rock artists/bands I've listened to 2 Boldy James & Alchemist projects, a solo alchemist EP, a curren$y album, 2 Ransom projects, cant remember the artist but it's the guy that did the Death & The Magician album, I listened to that one album with the 2 pig heads as the cover, couldn't finish a Soulja Boy album, a Goldlink's project (I think that's his name), and I mean it wasn't until after I listened to all of these where I formed my opinion that I didn't like underground rap that much. I'll still listen to Griselda when they drop, I'll listen to the occasional hip hop album, but I stay somewhat surface level nowadays. On another note, I agree with your streaming take. Like, do we count somebody like Benny as underground still? Benny doesn't sell that much, but I feel like at least 70% of people that say they listen to hip hop have heard of him. He's clearly not mainstream enough to walk up to somebody on the street and be like "Hey you hear the new Benny?", but he's not underground enough to where you don't think anybody knows about him.
Apr 30, 2022 When Marsh says “underground” he doesn’t mean MC Killer from the back streets of Brooklyn that gets beats sent from his cousin made on a dodgy beat maker app. He means anyone who doesn’t chart every week or make hits , that’s what he means. He is saying underground at the likes of Kendrick, J Cole etc. The Pedo lives on delusionville
May 1, 2022 I'd be sucking his d-ck so f---ing hard if he DIDN'T k--- HIS OWN g.d. HYPE. Man I can't get even get hyped over a boogie song at this point, his debut was dope as f--- too and I think Silent Ride ended up on like my top 20 songs of all time on Spotify.
May 1, 2022 You are so stupid if you think I consider 2 of the biggest rappers from the last decade underground lol to me underground means rappers most people don't give a f--- about, like the ones Eminem signs these days. I was listening to both before they dropped their first album, Supsuck, I even discovered Kendrick through Game way before GKMC. I've also said multiple times that I hate a lot of rappers who are big now. I think Carti f---ing sucks, Uzi, Gunna, Lil Baby, DaBaby, Harlow,... and I could keep on going with rappers that probably could do like 200K first week and still are boring as f--- to me. Like Future's new album, but I did like Future years ago.
