Aug 6, 2021 It depends. Some albums, yes. But I love diversity so I rather listen to playlists with lots of artists
Aug 6, 2021 I like how people always forget about Em's fan base in Latin America. US thinks America is just the US and Drakeland
Aug 6, 2021 Dude doing great, he just chose not to promote his music, and is also dropping more often, and by surprise. It all hurts his sales, but it seems to be what he wants to do now.
Aug 6, 2021 Nah he needs to slow it f---ing down for god sake. He ruins it musically with these garbage fast raps and stop and go flow. IT.DOES.NOT.SOUND.GOOD!!!!!! such a shame considering his last album was a bit better than previous attempts, he drops two s--- verses back to back.
Aug 6, 2021 Em always runs everything into the ground since 09 - accents - shouting - female pop hooks - choppy flow/rappity rap - s-----y rubin rock beats Now its the punchline rap. He's f---ing obsessed with double and triple entendres now. The novelty wore off with MTBMB tbh, he really needs to just go back to basics and focus on his poetic, story telling, imagery rap. That's what made him the GOAT imo (along with his humour and charisma)
Aug 6, 2021 He's been doing punchline rap since Wayne made it cool with Drake and Nicki. Nothing new.
Aug 6, 2021 If any one wants a breath of fresh air, yellow brick road just came up on my shuffle. That might be up there with his most underrated songs of all time. The story telling is immaculate, the vibe is amazing, the delivery compliments the beat, the touching on race issues without it being revival pandering trash (or some tom Macdonald white victim bs), the apology while still being a c---- at the end perfectly encapsulates the shady persona, the song is a strong 10/10. If eminem could do a song anything close to that, or a verse of that vibe, I'd be thrilled.
Aug 6, 2021 Eminem is huge with Middle Aged White single mother’s in Australia, younger people tend to just laugh when I bring him up.
Aug 6, 2021 I just went on a old Em music spree. One very very clear difference. Em earlier didn't bother actively to give double meaning lyrics, those entrendres, etc. If they happened passively, then ok, but never was it forced out of place. That's been happening a lot here. Useless, irrelevant allusions. Again, I loved his delivery and his youthful voice on epmd 2 but yeah, he needs to make stories. He needs content. And yall can't say that stuff ain't happening in his life so he can't be expected to give good content. Nah, it's time for him to make stories himself. That's what needs imagination.
Aug 6, 2021 ok honestly after listening a couple more times, i totally understand why some don't like Em on here. The most enjoyable bit was definitely the switch up. I miss his more passionate delivery, like on Stepping Stones and Castle(more recently). The more laid back flow was cool for a while back when he did the Cudi feat and that Fat Joe's track but it's starting to get a bit too robotic imo Don't wanna seem to nitpicky but it's just how I feel. Em has such drastic changes throughout songs that it's inescapable to not point things like this out. But I gotta give him credit for the energy he tried to bring, because it certainly got some interesting flows here and there
Aug 6, 2021 Em's streams still show he's big as f---, and you see fans from all types of places. Blogs still use him for clicks all the time too. Not bad for an old man.
Aug 6, 2021 Side A and B have mistakes imo, but they are the way to go, he just has to go up from there.
