Aug 6, 2021 I still can't believe it whenever I listen these albums. How on earth could the same man drop Revival 3 years ago?
Aug 6, 2021 After a few listens I gotta say Em actually murdered this. It’s grown on me now. I caught a lot what he said from the first listen or two but the more I do the more it all connects.
Aug 6, 2021 Dude got lazy and picked what worked on his previous albums after his comeback and mixed it all.
Aug 6, 2021 Em murdered this verse and voice sounds rejuvenated somehow. Lol you have to love how this song/verse is getting praised everywhere on the internet except by the toxic, psychotic Stans
Aug 6, 2021 People trashing this feature beyond what it deserves. Of course, the verse is sub-par with those cringe similes. But there's fundamentally nothing wrong with his flow or his voice here, on the contrary, it actually sounds good. Again, my opinion is no more accurate than the next guy but some of you sound like you just got swayed by the initial reaction to the song and didn't want to feel out of place.
Aug 6, 2021 God d---. Now that I’m fully awake. Em rode this beat beautifully. His choppy flow is fully in sync to the beat with the way it switches and scratches. d--- Em hit those pockets to a science. Plus i just realized that big daddy Kane bar is a triple. I think this might be Ems best verse in a very long time.
Aug 6, 2021 He actually killed the verse and kept it hip hop. People complaining about content don't realize this wasn't supposed to be a storytelling Introspective song. Not the greatest song of all time but also not whack.
Aug 6, 2021 Yeah, and this s--- ain't for the faint 'Cause the brains iller, trained killer, danger, deranged And I drink all the DayQuil and I blank on the paper Then wait 'til the page Fill up hate, spill of shame for the strength of a pain pill, the drank I just pray for the day when I'm able to say that I'm placed With the greats and my name's with the Kane's and the Wayne's and the Jay's And the Dre's and the Ye's and the Drake's and the J Dilla's, Jada’s, Cool J’s And the Ra's and amazing as Nas is, and praise to the Gods And a shout to the golden age of hip hop and the name of this song is The flow, the delivery plus the lyrics on this part is 10/10
Aug 6, 2021 Lyrically it’s fire like most Eminem verses, but this flow is all over the place it sounds bad. Nas had a much better verse overall.
Aug 6, 2021 His flow is all over the place because the beat is, he was fully in sync to the beat and it’s switches the entire way through.
Aug 6, 2021 Em's version of making the long one syllable scheme like Kane's "Confuse and lose abuse and bruise the crews Who choose to use my name wrong, they pay dues" that he has mentioned Cool s--- The flow and delivery on the beat switch is the best part of his verse imo
Aug 6, 2021 You cant have content from em anymore.. he told everything he had to Say. How many Songs does he has? 500? 800? He can only have fun now..and rhymes are the only things that he Likes to do and has to Say. I accept that, i know that im lucky that he isnt dead or retired, so i Hope most of you can accept that too
Aug 6, 2021 man to be real I’m just over the “bored” delivery. Man if he just put some energy (not screaming) into some of these rhyme patterns he would literally sound d--- near like prime Em
Aug 6, 2021 Gets better every listen. This is getting hella praise on social media. Just the same people on here hating, as they have for every release the past decade, so it’s as expected. The last rhyming/flow on the last few bars was so slick
Aug 6, 2021 Would've actually prefered Jay Z on this track. Ending part was good though. When it comes to the beatswitch: The og EPMD beat was repetitive as f---, it was basically a 3 minute loop, which occasionally had some parts without the kick/hihat. So I'm not really mad about them changing the instrumental during Em's verse.
